Solos@Home II is a virtual dance competition hosted by the Delaware Dance Education Organization and sponsored by the University of Delaware Partnership for Arts & Culture.

According to the Natural Resources Defense Council, "the environmental justice movement addresses a statistical fact: people who live, work and play in America's most polluted environments are commonly people of color and the poor." https://www.nrdc.org/stories/environmental-justice-movement

Dancers will be asked to respond to any of these aspects in the field such as: What is Environmental inJustice? What are the causes? What are the consequences? What is threatened? What is lost? How do we respond? and What solutions are available?

Dancers who wish to submit a solo of original choreography must register online by 3/5 and attend four workshops. These workshops are being offered by experts in Environmental Justice, costume design and lighting design.

The virtual workshops are March 7, 14, 21, 28 from 4:00-5:00pm EST. A zoom link will be sent out the day of each workshop. Video files must be submitted online by April 15 for adjudication.
